The MAKO 18 LTS Inshore was developed as a versatile and affordable platform for bay and backcountry anglers. Designed to perform with less power (90 hp max), the 18 LTS can pop onto plane in 24 inches of water, giving fishermen the ability to chase inshore gamefish into skinny water. Its innovative features earned it a TRAILER BOATS 2009 Excellence in Design award.
The boat’s 100-percent composite, hand-laid hull features a stepped tunnel design that runs a 20-inch shaft outboard on a 25-inch tall transom. MAKO’s pressure-foamed full/liner structure delivers a solid, quite ride.
The new model features generous bow and stern casting platforms, ideal for sight casting with fly or spinning tear. Both decks offer watertight storage accessed by close-molded lids. Standard features include a flip/flop helm seat with a 72-quart cushioned cooler, a center console with a stainless grab rail, a removable windscreen and six vertical rod holders, and forward console seating that conceals an 18-gallon baitwell. The console also features a step-up surface for sight fishing; an optional poling platform has even greater elevation and shallow-water capabilities.
